Riot Games has officially revealed Miks, Valorant's newest Controller agent arriving in Episode 10 Act 2. Hailing from the Philippines, Miks uses sound-based abilities that break the mold for what a Controller can do. Here's everything we know about the latest addition to the roster.

Miks's Ability Kit

Miks is a Controller who blends area denial with team support through sonic manipulation. His abilities revolve around sound waves that can heal allies, concuss enemies, and create zones of amplified audio that distort enemy perception.

C - Bass Drop

Miks deploys a portable speaker that emits a low-frequency pulse in a cone. Enemies caught in the blast are concussed for 1.5 seconds, suffering blurred vision and reduced movement speed. The speaker can be picked up and repositioned once before it self-destructs.

Q - Resonance

A healing ability that sends a wave of restorative sound toward allies. Any teammate caught in the wave regenerates 60 HP over 4 seconds. Miks can target himself or aim the wave in a direction to heal multiple allies at once. This makes him the first Controller with built-in healing.

E - Sound Wall (Signature)

Miks's signature ability creates a wall of dense sound that blocks vision like a smoke but also dampens audio for enemies on the other side. Opponents behind the Sound Wall cannot hear footsteps, ability cues, or gunfire from Miks's side, giving his team a massive information advantage during pushes or retakes.

X - Drop the Beat (Ultimate, 8 points)

Miks channels a massive area-of-effect ability centered on his position. For 6 seconds, all allies within the radius receive damage reduction and increased fire rate, while enemies are progressively slowed the longer they stay in the zone. The ultimate creates a high-impact teamfight scenario perfect for site takes and retakes.

Impact on the Meta

Miks fills a unique gap in the Valorant agent roster. As a Controller with healing, he reduces team reliance on a dedicated Sentinel healer like Sage. Teams could potentially run double Controller setups with Miks providing heals while a traditional smoke agent like Omen or Brimstone handles sight lines. His Sound Wall introduces a new dimension to information warfare that could redefine how teams approach executes on maps with narrow choke points.

Release Date

Miks is expected to launch with the Episode 10 Act 2 patch, which is currently scheduled for late March 2026. Players can expect a two-week introductory period where Miks will be available for free in unrated modes before requiring unlock through the battle pass or in-game currency.
